Starting from version 6.20.11.02, you can buy e-gift cards in our online booking. We will then automatically email the gift card to the recipient. In the online booking, you can choose the voucher amount (these are configurable in the Configurator, see below), a picture, the recipient info, and a custom message for the recipient. We will then send an email to the recipient with all the information (s)he needs to redeem the voucher (at the venue or in the online booking) and an order confirmation email to the buyer.
The email configuration will be inserted automatically during the update to the latest version. You only need to enable the sending and queueing to start with it and adjust the template if you like. The email setup is called ‘Default E-Gift Card confirmation’ and can be found under Settings => Communication => Post Office => Setup.
In Settings => Products => Pages, you need to create a page to define which amounts are shown by default, and you can add a variable price product if you want to allow the customer to choose a custom amount.
These products need to have the desired amount as the price and the same amount as the return value. For the variable gift card, you must fill the price of 1 item, and you need to enable ‘Variable
The return amount is 1.
Next, you need to make a voucher template, with kind ‘Giftcard’, and select the page you just made under ‘Sales Page’. You can find the voucher templates under Settings => Vouchers => Templates. You can only select the available pictures here from the ‘Pictures’ tab. To add new pictures, go to Settings => Vouchers => Pictures.
The last step is creating the main gift card product (price can be empty, it will be determined by the individual products on the sales page) and link it to the correct voucher template you just made. This can be selected under the ‘Voucher’ at the ‘Return’ tab of the product. As soon as you put this product on an online booking page, it will become visible in the online booking, and customers can start buying it.
