Epson Network Printer
Introduction
This tutorial will explain you how to prepare an Epson Printer to be used as a network printer.
Configuration
First of all, make sure that the printer has an Ethernet interface. If not, you need to replace the current interface with this one with a screwdriver.
- Next, you need to check if the network jumpers in the printer are set up correctly. With an Epson TM-T88V or TM-T88VI printer, you will have a small panel on the bottom of the printer that you need to open with a screwdriver, it should look like this.
- You will have two panels: DSW2 and DSW1, labeled on the printer. You need to turn on number 8 on the DSW2 panel, all the other switches can be on ‘off’.
- To test if you were successful, turn on the printer, hold down the ‘Feed’ button on the printer and it should print out a ticket with the network settings (IP address etc.) after a while.
